Cello strings Pirastro Chorda

Pirastro Chorda viola strings are basic unwound gut strings, suitable for both 415Hz (heavy tension) and 440Hz (medium tension) tuning.

• A and D string are unwound, G and C string are silver wound
• Authentic gut core string both for baroque instruments as well as modern instruments
• Very low tension, comfortable left hand playing
• Medium tension is for standard 440Hz tuning, high tension is recommended for 415Hz tuning
• A and D string have a straight end (no knot, can be knotted by yourself), G and C string come with a knot

The standard set consists of following strings:

• A string gut unwound 21 (medium tension), 21 1/2 (heavy tension) or 20 1/2 (light tension)
• D string gut unwound 29 (medium tension), 29 1/2 (heavy tension) or 28 1/2 (light tension)
• G string gut silver wound 27 1/2 (medium tension), 28 (heavy tension) or 27 (light tension)
• C string gut silver wound 36 (medium tension), 36 1/2 (heavy tension) or 35 1/2 (light tension)
