You are receiving this email because you are currently renting a violin, viola or cello from us. Thank you for that! Hopefully you are currently enjoying your bowed instrument to the fullest.

We have decided to discontinue our rental service as of 30/06/2023. We are doing this because we want to focus mainly on the part that was the main reason for starting 4strings: the webshop. We will therefore no longer handle new rental requests with immediate effect, and would like to inform you in advance that your rental agreement will end by the end of this academic year.

What does this mean for you?

You can continue to rent your instrument from us this academic year. By 30 June 2023 at the latest, your rental instrument must be back in our possession (if you do not want to use the hire-purchase option to do so). Therefore, by 30 May 2023, we will send you the final instructions for returning the instrument in time. You can return the instrument by bringing it back to our shop in Mechelen by appointment, or via free return delivery.

To cancel your rental agreement early, you can use our cancellation form. There you will also find instructions on how to return the instrument.

You can! You can enjoy a unique promotion for buying over your rental instrument until 31 December 2022.

You now temporarily receive an extra high discount on the value of your instrument, depending on how long you have been renting it from us: This way, you can take over your rental instrument at a fraction of its value.

• Less than 12 months: 35% discount on the instrument value
• Between 12 and 24 months: 45% discount on the instrument value
• From 24 months: 55% discount on the instrument value
