Melos Rosin comes straight from Greek pine trees in the Chalkidiki region, and is being produced by experts on the matter. This dark version for cello is a stickier and allows for a tighter bow grip. Because it's a little more souple, it can easily be used in a colder climate.
Some musicians like to switch between light and dark Melos rosin: light rosin for spring and summer, and dark rosin for autumn and winter.
