Larsen Original violin strings have a nylon core and offer a warmer sound thanks to their lower tension. It makes them easily playable and gives good bow responsiveness. They resemble somewhat the idea of Dominant strings, but slightly warmer. Ideal for instruments that sound too bright!
The A string is available with ball or loop end. Alle strings are available in medium or heavy tensions. The heavy tension variety offers a slightly more projecting sound. The A string is also available in soft tension.
The standard set contains following strings:
- A string: staal, chrome steel wound
- D string: nylon, aluminum wound
- G string: nylon, silver wound
- C string: nylon, silver wound
