Violin strings Larsen Original

Larsen Original violin strings have a nylon core and offer a warmer sound thanks to their lower tension. It makes them easily playable and gives good bow responsiveness. They resemble somewhat the idea of Dominant strings, but slightly warmer. Ideal for instruments that sound too bright!

The standard set contains following strings:

• E string: carbon steel, unwound
• A string: nylon, aluminum wound
• D string: nylon, aluminum wound
• G string: nylon, silver wound

Extra options:

• E string gold steel: warmer, rounder sound than carbon steel E string
• A string steel core: follows the Russian tradition of combining gut or synthetic G and D with metal core A and E, resulting in a smoother tradition from A to E string. Sharper and more projecting tone than the nylon core version
• D string silver: thinner string with a more projecting sound
