Violin strings Pirastro Chorda

Pirastro Chorda violin strings are basic unwound gut core strings, suitable for both 415Hz (high tension) as 440Hz (medium tension) tuning.

• E, A and D string are unwound, G string is silver wound
• Authentic gut core string both for baroque instruments as well as modern instruments
• Very low tension, comfortable left hand playing
• Medium tension is for standard 440Hz tuning, high tension is recommended for 415Hz tuning
• All string have a knot end

The standard set consists of following strings:

• E string gut unwound 11 1/2 (medium tension), 11 3/4 (heavy tension) or 11 1/4 (light tension)
• A string gut unwound 14 1/2 (medium tension), 14 3/4 (heavy tension) or 14 1/4 (light tension)
• D string gut unwound 19 1/2 (medium tension), 19 3/4 (heavy tension) or 19 1/4 (light tension)
• G string gut silver wound 16 (medium tension), 16 1/4 (heavy tension) or 15 3/4 (light tension)
